Hi there! My name is Letitia and I am the proud owner of Letitia’s Shimmer and Shine, a cleaning business that I opened a year ago. It has been my lifelong dream to be successful and to create something of my own, and I am happy to say that I am well on my way to achieving that goal.
Before starting my business, I spent 17 years as a carer for the NHS, working in care homes, communities, and mental health wards. This work was incredibly rewarding, and I loved being able to give back to those in need. However, as a single mom, the long hours often made it difficult for me to be there for my own children. Growing up in the care system made me acutely aware of the importance of family, and I knew that I needed to find a better balance.
That’s when I decided to take the leap and start my own business. It was a scary decision, but I knew that it was the right one for me and my family. Letitia’s Shimmer and Shine has given me the opportunity to look after my own family while also giving back to the community. I take pride in providing a quality service to my clients, and I am grateful for the support that I have received from the community.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new places. I am a firm believer in the importance of self-care, and I make sure to prioritise my mental and physical health. I am grateful for the experiences that I have had, both as a carer and as a business owner, and I am excited to see what the future holds.
